Working parents often lack sleep. In the long run, a lack of sleep can manifest as general tiredness with the body becoming weak or stiff, and the mind foggy. To keep focused and engaged at work, people often compensate less sleep with more coffee. Also, unwinding after work can mean a daily glass of wine, sometimes 2, which can affect sleep as well. This way of managing can become rather heavy on the body, brain and mood. With time, what was initially general fatigue can switch to chronic and eventually unpleasant conditions; all further contributing to less energy at work. Alongside this, a common complaint from our clients is that desk work can limit the amount of time and motivation for exercising and, most of all, does not allow for relaxation, even for a brief moment.
